My special green beans were passed down to me from a great friend who came to visit me in North Carolina from Baltimore. After an 8-hour shift in my office at the bank, I came home to full blown lasagna meal with these amazing green beans. I look at her and wondered, “Girl, what did you put in these green beans?”
Once she shared this recipe with me, I am on a mission to ensure that everyone has a chance to taste this amazing, fairly healthy goodness. Are you ready to cook with me?
Fresh or frozen green beans
Small to medium sized onion
2-3 cloves of garlic
Pre-heat your skillet on medium to high heat and add a few drizzles of olive oil to the pan.
While the skillet is heating up, finely chop your onion and garlic cloves.
Throw in your onion and garlic and sauté until they are transparent and beginning to brown.
Once your onion and garlic are nice and tender, add in your green beans.
Stir in onion, garlic and beans together in your skillet. And season your bean mixture with sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and paprika.
Once your beans are seasoned and tender (to your liking), serve immediately.
